Looking for Bible verses about friendship? Women have a greater need for friendships than men do. Our friendships run deeper. Men like to “do things” with friends. Women want to “know things” about each other. We like to do things together too, like shopping, but we want to talk while we do it!
Girls are naturally drawn to each other. A girl’s first experience with heartache may have been over a lost “best friend” rather than a “boy friend”. When friendships are lost, women grieve.
We do not just grieve for the friendship, but also for the secrets shared, the trust given and the acceptance enjoyed. If betrayed, the pain runs deep. No one can cause you more harm than someone you have trusted in deeply.

Bible Verses About Friendship
The Bible is full of verses about friendship. In the Old Testament, we see examples of friendship between Abraham and Lot, between David and Jonathan, and between Ruth and Naomi. In the New Testament, we see Jesus modeling friendship for us by becoming our friend (John 15:12-17).
The Bible tells us that true friends are those who stick closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24) and that it is a blessing to have a friend who will help us in our time of need (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). As we seek to follow Jesus, we can strive to be the type of friend that he was to us—a friend who is faithful, loyal, and committed.
We can also look to the example of Paul, who showed us what it looks like to love others well (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). As we seek to live out these biblical principles, we can be confident that God will use our friendships to further his kingdom purposes. Bible Verses About Friendship and Love
The Bible has a lot to say about friendship and love. In John 15:13, Jesus says, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” This verse is a powerful reminder of the selfless love that true friends are capable of. The Bible also says in Proverbs 17:17, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” This verse speaks to the idea that true friends will stick by you no matter what. In times of trouble, a good friend will be there to support you.
